I then worked freelance for various post-production studios using Harry/Paintbox, before returning to Spain for personal reasons.

NEW YORK - 1980's

After leaving the rock band Ñu and finishing my Psychology degree, I moved to New York, where in 1984 I founded the studio 'COMPUTER VIDEO ART' with an Amiga 1000.

A was a pioneer in the film VFX industry in Spain, bringing Penélope Cruz face to face with The Beatles.

MAD PIX COMPANY

In 1999, together with the EN EFECTO group, I founded MAD PIX COMPANY, a post-production house with €6 million invested in equipment and 40 employees.

It became the go-to name in top-tier advertising and prestigious film work. There, I was nominated for a Goya Award for the visual effects in 'Talk to Her,' Pedro Almodóvar's Oscar-winning film.

EN EFECTO was sold to the German group DAS WERK, which also owns Glassworks (London) and Centropolis (Los Angeles)..

Through CHELSEA22, my own boutique studio, I continue my VFX work in advertising and film, including on-set VFX supervision for international production companies, mostly American and British

I'm still working on film titles, work that earned a special mention in a NEW YORK TIMES article on the subject. There's also a section dedicated to me and my work on the prestigious site ART OF THE TITLE.

I recently had the privilege of designing the titles for ESCAPE, Rodrigo Cortés's film, executive produced by MARTIN SCORSESE.
